The United States has a sordid history of banning books. Books like; Of Mice and Men, 1984, and To Kill A Mockingbird, have all faced censorship throughout their history. The US is now experiencing an unprecedented amount of book bans. In Duval and Manatee County, Florida every book was removed from classrooms and Texas has banned over 800 books.
