The Torch, LCC’s newspaper, is interested in filling the following positions: Web and Social Media Coordinator, Photojournalist, and Torch newsreporter.
Web and Social Media coordinator, create and post media content that will increase readership, collaborate with reporters and photojournalists with images and developing stories.
Photojournalist, capture compelling pictures relational to LCC community, collaborating with reporters, art editor, editing photos and gathering information on the photos taken.
Torch news reporter, research, writing, and interview skills with the ability to produce two-stories per week.
Students are encouraged to apply with skills in these areas.. Compensation is provided via work-study is an option.This is an opportunity to gain experience and skills in journalism. The advantage to add to a portfolio or resume while working with other Torch team members disseminating informative and useful information on LCC affairs, events, and faculty/student concerns.
