Lane Community College Culinary Arts students brought home an award for the Mike West Best Overall Bite along with an honorable mention for Best Hospitality and Presentation from this year’s Chef’s Night Out on Monday, April 6.
Chef’s Night Out is an annual event to raise funds for Food for Lane County. It highlights cuisine, catering and beverages from across Lane County. In a press release, Chef Michael Landsberg said of the event, “The students are nervous as heck, but it’s a great experience.” He added, “I know chefs all over Eugene, and they’re always calling me, asking for graduates.”
Chef Landsberg and students, you more than earned your awards. Chef Jamie Goodrich, you and your students were amazing as well. You all get an honorable mention from this reporter.
