The SGA (Student Government Association) and other student organizations at LCC will be hosting and collaborating with other organizations to present events focusing on self-enrichment, cultural awareness, and communal networking and socializing among students in the upcoming weeks.. 

The SGA has planned the following events for the upcoming term: Time Management and Organizational Skills, focused on how to better equip students to handle their academic workload. While Saving and Investing Finances, focuses on financial decision making  and planning with disbursements or other means of income. Making Balanced Meals, addresses the importance of nutrition and informed choices when it comes to a healthy diet. Auto-repair and Maintenance, focuses on how to diagnose and fix common car issues with hands-on experience with the various tools and equipment. Natural Disasters, essential (regional) skills such as creating emergency plans, assembling disaster supply kits, and understanding evacuation procedures. (Dates TBD).

LCC has clubs and organizations that host events and that are as diverse as they are inclusive. The Black Student Union (BSU) meets in bldg. #212, room #1, Tuesdays 12p-1:30pm. The Asian and Pacific Islander Student Union (APISU) meets in bldg. #1, room 206, Wednesdays 1p-2pm. Gender & Sexuality Alliance (GSA) meet in the Gender Equity Center, bldg #1 Mondays 11a-12pm. Native American Student Association (NASA)  Thursdays 3p-6p in the Longhouse. Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlán (MEChA) (TBD).  Clubs & Organizations | Lane Community College (lanecc.edu) 

Clubs and student organizations are here at LCC and are a great way to be engaged and aware of campus and community events, bolster academic transcripts while interacting with other students and faculty, and an opportunity to round off your academic experience at LCC.
