On May 31, Eugene Police announced that they identified the students responsible for the multiple bomb threats at South Eugene High School. The names of the students are not being released because they are juveniles. According to a press release, “A break in the case occurred when a 4J school official located an anonymous social media post offering to send threats for a fee.”

The bomb threats we called in four weeks in a row on May, May 3, 10, 16 and 24. The press release stated, “A person called the police department, claiming to be inside the school armed with explosives and in some of the calls the person claimed to be armed with a firearm and threatening to harm people.” James Croxton of Double Sided Media has been covering this story since the beginning. Croxton spoke to several students before the police announced that they had a suspect to get their perspective.

Eugene police stated that the two suspects’ families have been cooperative with the investigation.

Eugene Police offered a $2,500 reward for credible information of the suspect
