Lane Titans Baseball April Home Games

The Lane Titan home games from April 2 to April 29

Spring term was busy for the Lane Titans, having played nine doubleheader games in the last month alone. The Titans won 32 games and lost 16 games 

Kicking the month off on April 2, the Lane Titans went against the Clark Penguins, in an exhilarating double header. The Lane Titans won the first game with a score of 13-2 and the second game 13-9. Looks like 13 was the team’s lucky number.

In game one, Nolan Donivan (Third Baseman) had five at bats (ABs) and three runs Batted In (RBIs). Cody Rolletto (Catcher) had three runs. Austin Takahashi (Utility) had three hits, and Griffin Scott (Left handed pitcher) pitched three innings and had four strikeouts. In game two, Quinton Olson (Outer field) had five At Bats (ABs), two runs, and two hits. Donivan had five At Bats (ABs) and two runs. Trevor Devincenzi (Catcher)  and Peyton Tyner (Outer field) had two runs. Jalen Riddle (in field) had two hits. Donnie Morgan (Outer field) had three runs batted in (RBIs). Jamie Burnett (Right handed pitcher)  had 2.1 innings pitched and two strike outs.

Only two days later on April 4 the Titans returned to the field, the Lane Titans had their last double header that was against the Clark College Penguins. In a back-and-forth split game, the Lane Titans won the first game 5-2 but Lost the second game 1-4

In the first game, pitcher Kenneth Price‘s (Right handed pitcher) had six innings pitched  (IP), he got four hits, one run, and six strikeouts. In the second game, Torsten Hersom (Right handed pitcher) had three strikeouts in his two innings pitched (IP) when it was his turn on the pitcher’s mound 

Jump forward to the second Wednesday of the month, April 8, the Lane Titans went against the Southwestern Lakers in a doubleheader. The doubleheader had an amazing start with a win of 15-2. However, the second game started and ended with a score of 1-2. 

In the first game, Scott had four innings pitched and had six strikeouts. In game 2, Lucas Geren (Right handed pitcher) had six Inning pitches and six strikeouts.

April 16 had an impressive doubleheader, the Titans took both games with a win giving Clackamas Community College Cougars a score of zero, the first game ended with 11-0 and with an even better score in game two 16-0.

In the first game on the mound, Scott Scott on the mound pitched an impressive five innings and managed an even more impressive seven strike outs. The hitters Tyner, Morgan, and Sebastian Contreras (In Field) had two hits. Roletto and Donivan both got two runs and hits. Finally Riddle and Tyner got two runs batted in (RBIs). In the second game Geren had five innings on the mound and got six strikeouts. Devincenzi, Olson, and Riddle all had three runs, and that was Riddle’s first career home run. Olson also had three hits, three at bats (ABs), and five runs batted in (RBIs)

In the second to last game and last saturday of the month, on April 25, the Titans spent their Saturday against the Chemeketa Storm and in a double header, the first game went amazing with a 4-0 score but in an unfortunate loss of 3-4

In game one Riddle had four at bats (ABs), two runs, and three Hits. Tyner had four at bats (ABs), one run, one home, and one run batted in (RBI). Hersom had six innings pitched and four strikeouts. In game two Morgan had four at bats (ABs) and two hits. Olson had four at bats (ABs). Contreras had three at bats (AB)s, one run, and two hits. Price pitched five innings and had three strikeouts. 

The last game of the month took place April 29, leaving 3 more double headers until the season ended. The Lane Titans went against Linn-Benton RoadRunners, In an unfortunate loss in the first game there was a score of 0-2 and a score of 4-5 in the second game.  

Despite this loss In the first game Olson had four at bats (ABs) and two hits, Riddle, Donivan, Roletto, and Morgan also had four at bats (ABs). Scott had 6.1 innings pitched and six strikeouts. In the second game Contreras got seven at bats (ABs), one run and hit, Riddle had six at bats (ABs), one run, and three hits. Geren pitched for 5.2 Innings and got four strikeouts.

By the end of the season they played a total of 57 games, had 345 runs, .290 batting average, .403 on base percentage, .375 slugging percentage and 12 home runs. Some player highlights include Morgan with 36 runs, 53 hits, three home runs, and a .306 batting average. Next person is Rolletto with the highest batting average of .360, A .452 on base percentage, and .441 slugging percentage. Final player highlight is Sam Wilson with an Earned Run Average (ERA) of  1.13 and .50 Walks and Hits per Inning Pitched (WHIP).
