Dine with Lane Community College’s award winning chefs
By Amanda Fallon
Lane’s award-winning culinary students get real life experience with full fine dining service on the first floor of the Center Building at the Renaissance Room. The dining is open Wednesdays and Thursdays in the spring.
Diners can select an appetizer, entree and dessert for only $17. Drinks are a few dollars more, and include coffee, tea, water and selections of sweet or sour cocktails.
“The food and drinks were tasty, well presented and served. The atmosphere was pleasant, very peaceful. The students worked hard and were timely as well as professional. It was a great blessing to be a part of their learning.” Cayden Hatcher, a student at LCC, said about the opening day service in April.
Menus are posted outside of the Renaissance Room for the diner to browse while waiting to be seated. This menu changes weekly. Expect the unexpected with menu items hailing from different North American regions.
Chelsea Anderson with Career Pathways said of her experience working and dining with the Culinary program, “I love that I’ve been able to witness the growth of the culinary students from their first week until now. They have always been professional and the food is always great.”
