Did you know that Lane Community College offers many resources across campus designed specifically to help students? College can often be an overwhelming experience, especially your first term on campus. The good news is that LCC is here to help you on your journey. 

Academic Advising

Main campus, Building 1, Room 103 

Academic Advisors assist you with academic planning, helping make sure you’ll be ready to transfer or start your career. Check the drop-in calendar online to see when you can meet with an advisor, at: https://www.lanecc.edu/get-support/academic-support/academic-advising#times   

CAR (Center for Accessible Resources)

Main campus, Building 19, Room 263A

The Center for Accessible Resources is there to help you navigate college when you have different accessibility needs. CAR works with students and faculty to determine appropriate academic adjustments and services for students with disabilities and partners with the campus community to provide education, resources, and support. 

C.A.R.E. (Community Advocacy and Resource Education)

Building 4 Room 210 

C.A.R.E. is there to help make sure you are getting your basic needs met, like housing, food and childcare. If you are struggling with basic needs it can make staying enrolled and successful in college very difficult. When you come into C.A.R.E, you can speak to a benefits navigator who will listen to your unique needs and help connect you to resources at LCC and within the community. 

Career Pathways

Career Pathways can help if you are interested in a short-term training program of 1 year or less that will get you into a new career quickly. Career Pathways connects qualified students to grant-funded programs that help pay for tuition, books and more.

The Gender Equity Center (GEC)

Main campus, Building 1, Room 202

The Lane Community College Gender Equity Center exists for students, staff, and faculty and focuses on supporting an inclusive campus environment where all genders and sexual identities are valued and supported. We promote the exploration of the social construction of gender and how gender intersects with race, ethnicity, class, sex, sexual orientation, ability, age, nationality, and belief systems. The Gender Equity Center operates from a foundation of Brave Dialogue, where all ideas rooted in inquiry and learning are welcome.

Health Clinic

The LCC Health Clinic, as part of the Student Health and Wellness Center, provides a broad range of health care services, like the evaluation and treatment of acute illnesses, preventative healthcare, and wellness promotion. They provide information and referrals to community resources. All of their services are confidential.

Lane Child and Family Center

The Child and Family Education Department provides a “whole village” of support for children and families — quality child care, resource and referral services, and early childhood education instruction to staff, students and the community.

The Library

The Library is your first go-to resource for research, accessing in-person help from an expert librarian with your research, accessing quiet group or individual study rooms, checking out books including textbooks, and using the computer lab for completing coursework and printing documents. The library website offers an abundance of resources to explore, from over 30 databases full of peer-reviewed journal articles for your research needs, to access to your free New York Times subscription through the school, to the citation program NoodleTools, and much, much more!

Maxwell Student Veteran Center

The Maxwell Student Veteran Center provides a gathering place and transition resources and services for student veterans and military affiliated personnel of all military services to facilitate the successful completion of academic studies at Lane Community College.

Mental Health and Wellness Center

Main Campus, Building 18, Room 101

The Mental Health and Wellness Center (MHWC) is here to provide you with compassionate, confidential mental health services, including free counseling. Just call (541) 463-5665 or email MHWC@lanecc.edu to get started.

If you or someone you know is experiencing a life-threatening emergency or an acute mental health crisis, please call campus Public Safety at 541-463-5555 or dial 911. You can also contact the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at all hours; call or text 988.

The Multicultural Center

The Multicultural Center provides a comfortable atmosphere where students from all ethnic backgrounds can get information on admission, registration, course and program planning, and referrals to on-campus and community services.

SHeD (Student Help Desk)

Main campus: Center Building, 2nd Floor, outside the library main entrance
Downtown campus: 2nd Floor

Find the answers to your questions about navigating technology at Lane at the SHeD (Student Help Desk). SHeD staff can help you access or navigate the programs you’ll use as a student, like myLane, Moodle, and Zoom. SHeD staff can also connect you to other resources like loans of laptops, Chromebooks and WiFi hotspots.

Student Legal Services

ASLCC Legal Services is a student benefit funded by the Student Activity Fee. Legal aid and advice are available to all students who take lecture classes for credit on Lane’s main campus. Students who take online-only courses, ABSE classes, noncredit classes, or courses at satellite campuses are not eligible for this service.

Success to Academic Readiness (STAR)

Main campus, Building 11, Room 245

The Success to Academic Readiness (STAR) program supports students who have tested below program level writing or math and who identify as first-generation, low-income, or underrepresented students on their higher education journey at Lane Community College.

Titan Pantry and Clothing Closet

Main campus, Center Building, Room 153
On the ground floor of the Center Building on the side facing Building 12. The door is in the breezeway between the entrance to the cafeteria and the main loading dock.

Titan Food Pantry and Closet is brought to you by a partnership between the Student Life and Leadership, Specialized Support Services, and Community Advocacy and Resource Education (CARE). Our food is supplied by Food for Lane County as well as donations from the community, our Culinary Program, and the Learning Garden. We do our best to support students with allergies and dietary restrictions and will make accommodations for food box pickup upon request. We encourage you to think sustainably and bring your own shopping bag.

TRiO and TRiO STEM

TRiO and TRiO STEM are federally funded programs that help low income, first generation and students with disabilities with the goal of helping students stay in school and successfully graduate from Lane Community College and/or transfer to a four-year institution. We provide free services to eligible students to assist them in meeting the varied challenges of college life.

Tutoring is free to all Lane students and covers more than 50 subjects. You can drop in or make an appointment for on-campus or online (through Zoom) tutoring.

The Zen Den

Main campus, Building 18, Room 102

The Zen Den is a safe and quiet space for you to relax and rejuvenate, with massage chairs, yoga mats, coloring books, and more. Open to all LCC students!
